Army football played a thrilling game in its first meeting against Georgia Southern last November.
The one-point Army win will not be the last between the two schools. Georgia Southern announced over the weekend a future home-and-home series with Army. The Black Knights will travel to Statesboro in 2030 and host Georgia Southern in 2031 at Michie Stadium.
The 2020 game went down to the wire as officials ruled that Georgia Southern didn’t clock the football to set up a game-winning field goal before time expired. Jeff Monken, who was the head coach at Georgia Southern from 2010-13, and Army celebrated the victory.
