Army athletic director Mike Buddie announced on the As For Football podcast that the Black Knights have filled its Sept. 17, 2022 opening with a home game against Villanova.
The opening was created when Tennessee bought out Army for their 2022 game at Neyland Stadium.
Army and Villanova will play for the 22nd time but the 2022 game will be their first meeting since 1977.
Villanova, currently the No. 4 FBS team, is 6-1 this season with its only loss coming at Penn State 38-17
