Roster update: Number changes for DiDomenico, Gerena, Reed, Short

Noah Short’s switch to wide receiver was one of more successful moves for Army’s new shotgun offense in the spring.

Short will have another change this upcoming season – his jersey number. The sophomore is now No. 15 in a nod to his family. Short and his older brother, Elijah wore the number growing up playing football.

It’s Short’s third number in his young Army career. Short, wearing No. 47, blocked a punt that led to a touchdown in the Army-Navy game last December. He moved to No. 20 during spring practice.’

As Army moves closer to its first preseason practice on August 2, a roster update revealed more number changes for the 2023 season.

Junior safety Max DiDomenico has switched from No. 37 to No. 6.

Junior linebacker Brett Gerena, formerly No. 56, is now No. 36.

Sophomore running back Hayden Reed has moved from No. 39 to No. 8.
