Prediction time: Western Kentucky

Army is a 6-point home favorite over Western Kentucky Saturday.

The Black Knights have won 10 straight games at Michie Stadium and are 26-4 in their last 30 home games under Jeff Monken.

Army dropped a 17-8 road game to Western Kentucky in the teams’ last meeting in 2019. Western Kentucky held Army without a rushing touchdown in that game.

Seniors Kwabana Bonsu, Arik Smith and Malkelm Morrison started on defense in the 2019 game. Nine other current Black Knights played.

Western Kentucky is coming off a 59-21 season-opening win over Division I-AA Tennessee-Martin. Houston Baptist transfer Bailey Zappe threw seven touchdown passes in the opener.

Army’s secondary, which returns all four starters, allowed seven touchdown passes in eight 2020 home games.

Sal Interdonato (Black Knight Nation): Army 31, Western Kentucky 14. Army’s defense has the experience and talent to slow down Western Kentucky’s passing attack and create turnovers, giving the Black Knights’ offense extra possessions.
