Offense breakdown: Syracuse

Senior offensive lineman Connor Finucane and freshman center Brady Small played all 67 offensive snaps in Army’s 29-16 loss at Syracuse.

Quarterback Bryson Daily missed one play due a bloody nose after a physical run in the second quarter.

Army used three tight ends – Josh Lingenfelter, David Crossan and Will Montesi – on four plays.

The Black Knights’ longest run of the game was 15 yards by Daily.

Noah Short’s 80-yard TD catch from Daily was Army’s longest passing play since Cam Harrison’s 87-yard TD reception from Jabari Laws against Air Force on Nov. 2, 2019.

Jakobi Buchanan scored a rushing touchdown for the third straight game. Buchanan is now tied for seventh on Army’s career rushing touchdown rushing list with 27, tying Ahmad Bradshaw.

Senior tackle Shayne Buckingham returned to action on the offensive line, logging 44 snaps from second to fourth quarters. Buckingham did not play on offense in the second half against Delaware State and the game at UTSA due to injury.

Freshman wide receiver Tobi Olawole’s first career carry went for six yards on an end around.
