After a strong first half including a scoreless first quarter by the Orange, the Black Knights’ defense allowed 26 unanswered points. Syracuse scored 10 of those points off possessions starting at the Army 27 and 26 yard lines.
Senior cornerback Cameron Jones picked off his seventh career interception. Jones needs one more interception to tie for 12th on Army’s all-time interception list.
Ciarlo recorded his team-leading third sack of the season.
Sophomore linebacker Kalib Fortner recorded his first career sack in his first start.
Sophomore safety Casey Larkin made a career-high five tackles in his first start.
