Former Army CB Elijah Riley signs with Giants

Elijah Riley is making an NFL homecoming of sorts.

The former Army standout cornerback and Long Island high school star signed with the New York Giants as a free agent Thursday. Riley spent the last two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played in 13 games in 2023, the most in his five-year NFL career, with 50 defensive snaps and 216 plays on special team.

Riley returns to MetLife Stadium, where he started seven games for the Jets in 2021. Riley’s NFL journey began with the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2020 and 2021 seasons. He’s played in 30 NFL games.

At West Point, Riley made 34 starts from 2016-2019. Riley picked off seven passes, made 201 tackles (including 6.5 sacks) and scored two touchdowns in his Army career.
