Andre Carter makes PFF Top 101

Army record-setting linebacker Andre Carter has added another honor to his list of accomplishments for the 2021 season.

Carter was ranked No. 79 on Pro Football Focus College’s list of the top 101 players in 2021. The junior smashed the academy’s single-season sack record with 15.5.

Pro Football Focus noted that Carter had a 93.3 pass-rush grade and one of the five highest pass-rush win rates (25.9%).

Carter, a third-team Associated Press all-American, finished second in the country in sacks behind Alabama’s Will Anderson. Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson was third with 14 sacks.

Phil Steele named Carter a second-team all-American. Carter had four multiple-sack games and recorded a sack in 10 of Army’s 13 games this season.

Former Army linebacker and current Seattle Seahawk Jon Rhattigan, was 55th on PFF’s list last season.
