2021 Army Prep football team reports for R-Day

The group chats started long before Cade Anders met his future football teammates in New York City this weekend.

Anders and members of Army Prep’s 2021 team started communicating during the recruiting and commitment processes. Now, they are moments away from three weeks of military training after reporting for R-Day Monday.

“It was great,” said Anders, a tight end from Tift County (Ga.) High School on hanging out with his teammates. “I had met a couple before around spring break but it was awesome to meet even more. I’m glad I got to meet some familiar faces before we start our training.”

Anders spent time with Omarrian Aigbedion, Tanner Bivins, Dwayne Coleman, Marcus Dickey, Taylor Saulsberry and Jabril Williams in New York prior to heading up to West Point.

Suffern running back Clev Lubin, the New York state Gatorade player of the year and Knoxville (Tenn.) Central twins Kalib Fortner and Liam Fortner are among players on 2021 Army Prep roster.
