Remember the name Issac Hurtado.
As Signing Day closes in, the Black Knights landed the Cypress (Calif.) running back as part of Army’s late West Coast push.
Hurtado, Orange County’s leading rusher in 2019, gained 2,631 yards and scored 37 touchdowns on the ground. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound senior also caught six touchdown passes. Hurtado was offered early by three Pac-12 schools – Washington State, Oregon State and Colorado – as well as BYU, Colorado State, Nevada and San Jose State.
Army also received recent commitments from St. John Bosco (Calif.) defensive end Matt Jordan and Saguaro (Ariz.) cornerback Cam Nash.
The Black Knights picked up a commitment from Norman (Okla.) wide receiver Andrew Young Sunday during an official visit. Young caught 62 passes for 1,110 yards and 9 touchdowns his senior year. His career numbers as just as impressive – 140 catches, 2,555 yards, 20 TD.
Versatile offensive lineman Davis Wulf of Clinton-Massie, Ohio also joined the 2020 class on an official visit over the weekend. What set Army apart from other schools for Wulf?
“Not only the football but the top-notch education that you get at West Point,” Wulf said. “The connections that I’ll be able to make through West Point and Army football will help set me up for life better than any other school could.
“Also, the coaching staff had to be the best I’ve ever met.”
Demopolis (Ala.) cornerback CJ Williams announced his decommitment from the Black Knights Tuesday.

Thanks for alphabetizing the names, Sal. Does the * stand for the prep school?
You sure do a better job covering Army football than Fedich did last year. His last post on the Inside Army Football Blog was November 27.
