Prediction time: Delaware State

New Army offensive coordinator Drew Thatcher mentioned and repeated many ways this week in how the Black Knights can improve from the disappointing, touchdown-less debut of their shotgun offense.

One was “getting players in the position where they can succeed.” Army’s offense should have many successes in its home opener against FCS Delaware State.

If there ever was a game for Army to bounce back, it’s Saturday at Michie Stadium. Delaware State is coming off a season-opening 22-11 loss to Division II Bowie State.

This is game for Army’s offense to get more players, get more players on the field and be a little creative.

Would love to see freshman quarterbacks Larry Robinson and Champ Harris and freshman running back Kanye Udoh get some quality snaps later in the game.
