Army’s Black Flag mentality was on display in the final moments of the Black and Gold game.
Coach Jeff Monken said he liked the fight in his players as quarterback Dewayne Coleman led the Gold down the field for the winning touchdown drive. Tight end Will Montesi made a highlight-reel catch along the sidelines for 31 yards. Fullback A.J. Williams capped the “3-minute” drive on a 1-yard touchdown with 13 seconds left for a 17-14 win.
“It was fun to see,” Monken said.
