Liberty Bowl pregame blog

Army will be without its leading tackler, three offensive linemen and other important players for the Liberty Bowl today.

Dean Darling of Army radio reported that senior linebacker Jon Rhattigan, starting center Connor Bishop, starting tackle Luke McCleery and freshman tackle Jordyn Law will not play against West Virginia.

Also out for Army are fullback Jakobi Buchanan, who led Army in rushing against Air Force in the Black Knights last game, starting running back Tyrell Robinson, starting linebacker Jeremiah Lowery and sophomore linebacker Daryan McDonald.

Sophomore quarterback Tyhier Tyler is expected to make his fourth straight starter.

The probable starting offensive line will be left tackle Kamaron Holloway, left guard Mike Johnson, center Noah Knapp, right guard Peyton Reeder and right tackle JB Hunter.

Freshman linebacker Spencer Jones makes his first start in place of Rhattigan.

Offensive coordinator Brent Davis is not with the team.
