Coaching staff update: Justin Weaver named Army inside linebackers coach

Army has added a familiar name to its football coaching staff that has a connection to the majority of its roster.

Army Prep head coach Justin “Juice” Weaver is the Black Knights’ new inside linebackers coach.

Weaver returns to Army’s staff after four seasons at Army Prep. He served as Army Prep’s defensive coordinator from 2019-2021. He led Army Prep to wins over Navy Prep and Air Force in 2022.

Weaver’s first stint at West Point was as Army’s director of on-campus recruiting in 2017. He was Army’s defensive quality control coach in 2018. Army won 21 games in two seasons with Weaver on its staff.

Weaver replaces Cortney Braswell, who is now Cincinnati’s inside linebackers coach.
