Katsigiannis lands on Sports Illustrated all-American first team

Postseason honors continue for Army’s Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line.

Senior guard Bill Katsigiannis was named to Sports Illustrated all-American first team Tuesday. Senior tackle Lucas Scott earned second-team recognition from the Football Writers of America Association.

Katsigiannis has started all 13 games at left guard for Army. A first-team, all-AAC pick, Katsigiannis was slated to be Army’s 2023 starting center before a preseason injury.

Scott, who has started all 13 games at right tackle, was named the national offensive lineman of the year by the College Football Network. He is the first Army player to make a FWAA postseason all-American team since running back Mike Mayweather in 1990.

Per Army Athletic Communications, Scott is the second highest graded tackle (90.1) in the nation heading into the bowl season by Pro Football Focus College.

Sophomore guard Paolo Gennarelli was named to the Associated Press third team Monday.

Senior tackle Connor Finucane and sophomore center Brady Small made the College Football Network’s second and third team respectively.
