Casey Reynolds to play in Tropical Bowl

Casey Reynolds has one more game left as a college football player.

Reynolds, Army’s senior wide receiver, will play in the Tropical Bowl Sunday in Daytona Beach, Fla. He will play for the National team along with Navy linebacker Colin Ramos. The showcase kicks off at 11 a.m.

One of the Black Knights’ game-breaking threats, Reynolds led Army with 20 receptions for 457 yards this season. Reynolds’ three touchdown catches were the most by an Army wide receiver since Isaiah Alston (3).

Reynolds averaged 22.9 yards per catch, No. 4 in Army history among players with 15 or more receptions in a season. Only Pete Dawkins (30.9, 1958), Don Holleder (29.1, 1954) and Edgar Poe (27.6, 2015) averaged more in a season.

A two-sport athlete, Reynolds is preparing for his final lacrosse season at West Point. The Black Knights open their season at UMass on Feb. 8. Reynolds, a defensive midfielder, played in 10 of 14 games last season, scoring a goal.
