Lucas Scott accepts invite to Giants, Ravens rookie minicamp

Army tackle Lucas Scott attracted the attention of both the New York Giants and Baltimore Ravens at his Pro Day last month.

Both NFL teams extended Scott, a member of Army’s 2024 Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line, an invitation to their rookie minicamps after the draft Saturday. Scott accepted both invitations, giving the former fullback recruit, a chance to impress coaching staffs and potentially earn a free-agent contract.

The College Football Network offensive lineman of the year, Scott made a successful transition from right guard to right tackle this season, starting all 14 games. Scott was graded as one of nation’s best tackle by Pro Football Focus College during the season.

The Giants worked out Scott along the offensive line, including center. The Ravens were also taking a look at Scott as an H-back. Recruited as a fullback after stellar career at Chenango Forks (N.Y.) High School, Scott also played tight end at Army before moving to offensive line.

Baltimore’s offensive coordinator Todd Monken is the cousin of Army coach Jeff Monken.

The Giants will hold their rookie minicamp on May 9-11. Baltimore’s rookie minicamp is May 1-4.
