Army’s Lucas Scott signs with Ravens

The number of former Army football players in the NFL has increased by one.

Lucas Scott, the 2024 College Football Network offensive lineman of the year, has signed with the Baltimore Ravens as a tight end/fullback.

Scott participated in Ravens’ rookie minicamp by invitation the weekend of May 2-4. The Ravens lined Scott up as a tight end/fullback during the minicamp. Scott started all 14 games at right tackle for Army’s Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line in 2024. Baltimore worked Scott out as a skilled position player via Zoom during Army Pro Day.

Scott is going back to his football roots in a sense. He was a New York all-state running back out of Chenango Forks High School. Army originally recruited Scott as a fullback. He was moved to tight end before settling in on Army’s offensive line his junior season, where he started 11 of 12 games at right guard.

The Giants also extended Scott an invitation to the team’s rookie minicamp this past weekend. Scott originally accepted the invite but didn’t intend likely because of free-agent deal with the Ravens was in the works.

Scott’s signing was announced by Forever Athlete Management, his agency.

Army now has six players currently on NFL rosters – Eagles Super Bowl champion offensive lineman Brett Toth, Chiefs two-time Super Bowl champion linebacker Cole Christiansen, Carolina Panthers linebacker Jon Rhattigan, Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Andre Carter, Jets linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo and Scott.
