If things play out as Army fans and its football team hope, there will again be no rest for the weary at the end of the 2025 season for the Black Knights.
The American Athletic Conference released its schedule Friday for the upcoming season and the 2025 campaign shows that the Black Knights will not have any time off before its end-of-year contest with Navy if they reach the league’s championship game.
In fact, Army is scheduled to play two games in late November, a Nov. 22 battle with Tulsa at West Point and a Nov. 28 or Nov. 29 game at UTSA. If the Black Knights finish first or second in the league, they would play the championship game the following weekend, Dec. 5 or Dec. 6, at the site of the higher seed. The Navy game is slated for Dec. 13 in Baltimore.
Last year, the Black Knights played three late-season games in a row, including the league championship game, where they defeated Tulane, before taking on Navy at FedEx Field in Landover, Md. Navy dominated Army in that contest, 31-13, with many Black Knights fans expressing concern that the Army team was tired after playing five games, including Air Force, Notre Dame and the AAC title game, in six weeks before the Navy battle.
While Navy will play at Memphis on Nov. 27 or Nov. 29, the Midshipmen are off the previous week, meaning they would have to play a maximum of three straight games, including the AAC championship game, before the Army-Navy game while Army would play a maximum of four straight games.
Besides that, the AAC schedule seems pretty straight forward. The Black Knights open with two non-league games home against FCS Tarleton State Friday, August 29 and at Kansas State from the Big 12 Sept. 6, followed by a bye week. The Black Knights host North Texas Sept. 20 followed by road trips to East Carolina and UAB.
Army plays just one home game in October, an Oct. 11 game against Charlotte. The Black Knights visit Tulane Oct. 18 and, after another bye week, travel to Colorado Springs for their annual game against Air Force. Temple visits West Point Nov. 8.

Not to worry. Memphis and Navy will be in the AAC Game. So no excuse this year should they lose to Navy the next week

Hopefully, not if Army goes back to a REAL triple option again. They should be able to work out the line blocking without the prohibited cut blocking, and once again give opponents’ defenses fits.
