Recruiting: Folsom (Calif.) CB Brooks Dupree selects Army

When Brooks Dupree thought about his football future, Army always seemed in the conversation.

Dupree, a Folsom (Calif.) senior cornerback, would talk about Army-Navy games with his father. His uncle, Imani Dupree was a cornerback and punt returner at Army and graduated from West Point in 2001.

“My dad would tell me how going to play football at West Point was the best thing my uncle ever did,” Dupree said.

The same vibes were true when Dupree talked with former Folsom teammate and current Army freshman wide receiver Brian Ray.

“He (Ray) said, ‘it can be hard but it’s worth it,'” Dupree said. “Since I don’t back down from challenges, I thought the opportunity would be impossible to pass up.”

Dupree joined Army’s 2026 recruiting class, committing to special teams coach Sean Saturnio Tuesday (Nov. 25). He reached out to Army in the spring and connected with Saturnio.

After talking with his parents, teachers, head football coach, friends and family, Dupree made his decision.

“Everyone was super supportive of me committing,” said Dupree, who received an offer from Army in mid-November. “I called coach Saturnio and made it official. He was excited. I was excited. It felt right.”

Dupree helped Folsom to its fifth straight California section title this fall. He plans on visiting West Point for the first time in January. Dupree is undecided on whether he will sign his certificate of commitment Wednesday (early signing day) or in February.
