Army record-setting running back Noah Short has one more college football game left to play.

Short accepted an invitation to the American Bowl on Jan. 22 in Orlando. The senior is one of one in Army first Army player to finish his career with 1,000 rushing and receiving yards.

In an interview with Black Knight Nation prior to the Army-Navy game, Short said that he hopes to extend his football career and will participate in Army Pro Day this spring.

Short became Army’s 10th player to reach 1,000 career receiving yards with his career-high seven-catch performance against UConn in the Fenway Bowl. Short’s seven receptions were the most by an Army player in a bowl game. Short finished with 67 career catches.

Short’s 6.5 career yards per carry is seventh in Army history. The former California high school star had 1,148 rushing yards. Short made the transition from defensive back/linebacker to slot receiver his sophomore season. He played slotback the last two seasons, bringing game-breaking ability to the Black Knights’ backfield.

Fenway Bowl defensive MVP and 2025 captain Kalib Fortner will play in the Hula Bowl on Jan. 10 in Delano, Fla.
