Mike Sullivan is next Steelers QB coach

Mike Sullivan is heading back to the NFL, according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network.

Sullivan, Army’s director of recruiting and 1989 West Point graduate, is being hired as the Steelers quarterbacks coach. The Steelers announced Sullivan’s hiring Monday (Feb. 8).

The former Army defensive back brings 16 seasons of NFL experience to Pittsburgh. He was the Giants’ receivers coach in Super Bowl XLII victory in 2007 and the quarterbacks coach on the Giants’ Super Bowl XLVI-winning team. Sullivan was the offensive coordinator for the Buccaneers (2012-14) and the Giants (2016-17).

Sullivan’s last NFL position was quarterbacks coach for the Broncos during the 2018 season.

Sullivan came back to West Point in March 2020 to lead Army’s recruiting efforts.
