Army’s Brady Small nominated to Rimington Trophy watch list

Brady Small’s freshman year was a season for the Army football ages.

Small started all 12 games at center during his rookie year, a rare feat in the program’s storied history.

Small’s sophomore season has brought some preseason recognition. Small was one of 40 players named to the Rimington Trophy watch list. The trophy is presented to the nation’s best center. Small is one of only four sophomores on the list and one of five American Athletic Conference players including Navy’s Brent Self.

Again. Small is expected to have a major impact on Army’s offense with the shift to more under-center plays this season. Small’s snaps were flawless out of mostly shotgun scheme last season.
